As a seaside community situated between the Halifax River (Intracoastal waterway) and the Atlantic Ocean in the central part of the State, we annually attract many visitors.  Our numerous hotels and motels offer a wide variety of choices for the entire family.

Most full-time residents live in our lovely oceanfront condominiums.  We invite all citizens to be active participants in our community.  Whether visiting our modern Senior Center, playing tennis at the City’s Oceans Racquet & Recreation Club, or simply relaxing on our beautiful beach, you will soon realize the “Shores” is a very special place.
