City Manager
Responsibility
The City Manager is responsible to the Council for the Administration of all affairs of the City, including the City’s budget. He is responsible for carrying out the Council’s actions and decisions. The City Manager supervises all department heads, oversees preparation of the City’s annual budget, prepares the Council’s agendas, and signs all contracts, ordinances and legal documents.

As a seaside community situated between the Halifax River (Intercoastal Waterway) and the Atlantic Ocean in the central part of the State, we annually attract many visitors. Our variety of hotels and motels offer a wide array of choices for the entire family.
Most full-time residents live in our lovely oceanfront condominiums. We invite all citizens to be active participants in our community. Whether visiting our modern Community Center, playing tennis at the City’s free, state-of-art clay courts, participating in pickleball, simply relaxing on the beach, or enjoying one of our many concerts or events, you will soon realize the “Shores” is a unique and special place.
