It is the duty of the Beautification Advisory Board to make decisions regarding painting and colors on the exterior of buildings and structures pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 8, Article II, of the Land Development Code entitled "Mandatory Exterior Color Standards."
It is the duty of the Board of Adjustments to authorize, after due public notice, such variance or variances from the terms of this Land Development Code that will not be contrary to the public interest when, owing to special conditions, the literal enforcement of the provisions of this Land Development Code would result in unnecessary hardship or practical difficulty.
The Planning and Zoning board recommends principles and policies for guiding action in the development and protection of Daytona Beach Shores. Hear requests, whether initiated by the Council or otherwise, for creation of new zoning classifications or changes or amendments in the zoning regulations or zoning classifications, or for new or different uses in any zoning classification, and to make recommendations to the city council concerning the same.
