State of Emergency - COVID-19 Order #1 Urging Use of Face Coverings

STATE OF EMERGENCY -COVID-19 ORDER #1
URGING USE OF FACE COVERINGS

Beginning 8:00 a.m. 7/15/20 until rescinded

Pursuant to the authority vested in me as Daytona Beach Shores City Manager by the City Council of the City of Daytona Beach Shores, in accordance with CITY OF DAYTONA BEACH SHORES, FLORIDA DECLARATION OF EMERGENCY PROCLAMATION approved on July 14, 2020, and in a further effort to reduce the potential spread of the deadly COVID-19, I hereby declare that the City strongly urges that every person working, living, visiting , or doing business in the City of Daytona Beach Shores wear a face covering in any indoor location, other than their home or residence, when not maintaining social distancing from other person(s), excluding family members or companions. Facial coverings are not required to be worn by the following persons:

• Persons under the age of two years
• Persons for whom a face covering would cause impairment due to an existing health condition
• Persons working in a business or profession who do not have interactions with other persons
• Persons exercising while maintaining social distancing
• Persons working in an office when all interactions with others is done with social distancing as recommended by the CDC
• Persons while eating and/or drinking at a restaurant; provided, however face coverings must otherwise be worn in restaurants
