The City of Daytona Beach Shores hereby solicits written proposals for catering services to provide food and beverage services for the patrons of the Shores Community Center.


Up to eight (8) full-line catering companies will be awarded catering contracts for exclusive food service with the exception of simple or prepared food items served by renters (i.e., continental breakfast, sandwiches, pizza, party trays, etc.), City sponsored events and/or Shores Community Center sponsored events. All special events including weddings, business and social dinners, fundraisers and political affairs will be catered by the successful Proposers as specified above.

Dune Walkover Restoration - opening Sept. 26th 2:00 pm

The City of Daytona Beach Shores is accepting bids for Dune Walkover Restoration in six locations, all of which are located on the beach in the City of Daytona Beach Shores.  The work will include all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation services and incidentals necessary to complete all work required by the applicable drawings and specifications. Addendum 1:  A question has been asked about the Tuscany Shores Walkover.  Due to recent erosion and the overall height of the walkover to achieve the 10 ft embed requirement, a 32 ft 6x6 is needed and the longest available is 26 ft.  Per the Structural Engineer:  "For the Tuscany walkover, utilize pressure treated glulam columns (5.25" X 5.5") as manufactured by Rosboro TREATED GLULAM (or equal as approved by the City) in order to achieve the 10' embedmentas specified on the contract documents."


Removal, disposal & installation of playground rubber surface at 3 parks

The City of Daytona Beach Shores is accepting bids for the removal and installation of the same color schemed pour in place rubber surfaced areas at:        McElroy Park which is approximately 5,400SF; Beachcomber Park which is approximately750SF; and Andrinopoulos Park which is approximately 750SF.  Rubber surface color is subject to change. The bid will be opened at 11:00 am on Friday January 27, 2017.

The City of Daytona Beach Shores is accepting bids for painting the exterior of the Public Safety Building.  Optional Add-on bids will also be accepted for the westerly (back building) Public Safety Building (including maintenance garage), the Community Center/Senior Center, and the masonry wall that surrounds the Public Safety secure parking area.

Request for Sealed Bids - Pedestrian Enhancements on SR A1A Construction

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Daytona Beach Shores, Volusia County, Florida will receive sealed bids from interested and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) prequalified contractors with experience in construction on the state highway system. The job scope is for the construction and / or modification of pedestrian refuge islands and associated signing / striping improvements along with pedestrian signal enhancements at the intersection of State Road A1A and Dunlawton Avenue in the City of Daytona Beach Shores.  Bids will be received by the City of Daytona Beach Shores, Volusia County, Florida, at the City Hall, Daytona Beach Shores, Florida until 2:00 pm on Monday, August 8, 2016, at which time the receiving period will close and the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bid received after the time and date specified above will be returned unopened.


A bid blank and plans are on file in the office of the City Clerk, who will provide a copy upon request.


Please submit five (5) copies of all bids in sealed envelopes addressed to the City Clerk, City of Daytona Beach Shores, 2990 S. Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach Shores, FL 32118 and plainly marked on the outsides: “SEALED BIDS – PEDESTRIAN ENHANCEMENTS ON SR A1A CONSTRUCTION.”      The City is not responsible for the U.S. Mail or private carriers or messengers regarding delivery to the City by the specified time. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all non-substantial irregularities in bids received whenever such rejection is in the best interest of the City, or to accept the proposal which best serves the interest of the City. In accordance with Florida Statutes 287.133 (2) (a), any person or affiliate who has been placed on the convicted vendor list following a conviction for a public entity crime may not submit a bid on a contract to provide any goods or services to a public entity, may not be awarded or perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under a contract with any public entity, and may not transact business with any public entity in excess of the threshold amount provided in Section 287.017, for Category Two for a period of 36 months from the date of being placed on the convicted vendor list. 

Removal and Installation of Tennis court in McElroy Park

The City of Daytona Beach Shores is accepting bids for the removal and installation of the tennis court in McElroy Park.  This would include removing the existing court, remove, store and reinstall surrounding fence, leveling the existing limerock base, new limerock may be required, paving the court, installing new nets and posts, patching of the court, applying acrylic resurfacer on the courts, and painting lines on the court.

Bids will be opened at 2:00 pm on May 2nd at City Hall.

Addendum added 4/26/16. There is a misprint regarding the Surfacer in Section III. It should read 2 coats of acrylic resurfacer and 2 coats of color.

RFQ - Construction Manager for Community Center project - Opening April 18, 2016

The City Council of Daytona Beach Shores, Florida (City) announces that it is seeking the submission of qualifications from construction management firms for construction management (at risk) services pertaining to the construction of a new City community center to be located at Oceans West Boulevard in the City. This delivery method entails a commitment by the construction manager to deliver the project within a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP). The construction manager will act as consultant to the City in the development and design phases (preconstruction services), but as the equivalent of a general contractor during the construction phase. The construction manager must manage and control construction costs to not exceed the GMP.


This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is for all site preparation and construction of a two story, approximately 16,000 square feet Community Center containing City Council chambers, several activity rooms, a catering kitchen, public restrooms, storage and other ancillary spaces. The present design includes a unique entry feature to the City’s public recreation facility. The selected construction manager could be tasked with “green” construction practices utilizing the International Green Construction Code (IGCC).
