Lorraine Geiger ran unopposed to fill the balance of the term for Seat 4 which was vacated by Henry Fehrmann.

She came here from Cincinnati after a career in the Industrial Automated Controls Division at Honeywell and at Procter and Gamble.  She has been married to Michael Geiger, a Certified Flying Instructor Pilot at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University for 35 years.  They have two sons.

Lorraine served on the HOA Board at the Townhomes of the Oceans for 10 years and served as president for 6 years.  She also served on the City’s Culture and Entertainment Board.  Lorraine is also a volunteer at Halifax Hospital, the Symphony Society and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.

During her announcement to a group of supporters, Lorraine stressed her love for the city and her sincere belief that the Shores is  “moving steadily in the right direction” to maintain its slogan “Life is better here.”  She looks forward to continue working with the local businesses and residents on such issues as

  • Construction of the new Community Center
  • Continued responsible spending
  • Continued Beautification of the City’s neighborhoods
  • Expansion of programs for residents and guests in the new venue
