Scams & Fraud Alert

FPL – The alleged suspects are calling businesses and alerting them of an immediate power disconnect if they do not pay a fee within 10-20 minutes. FPL will not call you with an immediate disconnect, nor will they ask you to pay the bill with a GREEN DOT credit card, or the new way is they are informing people they will only take “CASH,” and giving them an address on Mason Ave in D.B. to drop of the payment…… NOT TRUE. Probably just a robbery waiting to happen.

IRS scam – The alleged suspects are starting to call people within the city, and I am sure many more places to inform them they need to pay a fine immediately or there could be an arrest warrant issued for them. It is TAX time, so we may be getting many more calls on this.
